On October 11, 2008, the Clive Cussler Collector's Society honored The Seventh Angel with the 2008 Clive Cussler Grandmaster Award for Adventure Writing.  The award was presented by the Grandmaster of Adventure Fiction himself, Mr. Clive Cussler, at the 2008 CCCS Convention, in Denver, Colorado.
